Terms of Service

Welcome to Devit — a social platform built by developers, for developers. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and NixAi (“Devit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of our website and app at devit-six.vercel.app (the “Service”).

Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Devit, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

01 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Devit. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

02 Accounts & sign-in

Devit uses GitHub authentication to create and access your account. You’re responsible for keeping your GitHub credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your Devit account. Notify us promptly at nixai.cy@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others or create accounts to evade bans.

Because Devit signs you in through GitHub, your access depends on your GitHub account: if that account is suspended, deleted, or otherwise unavailable, you may temporarily or permanently lose access to Devit. Devit is not responsible for GitHub’s availability or for GitHub’s own handling of your data, which is governed by GitHub’s terms and privacy policy.

03 Your content & license

You own your content. Devit does not claim ownership of the posts, comments, code snippets, images, or other material you submit (“Your Content”).

To operate the Service, you grant Devit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting and display), and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of running, promoting, and improving the Service and as permitted by your visibility settings. This license ends when you delete Your Content, except for content others have shared or interacted with, and for reasonable backup copies.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to post it and grant this license, and that it doesn’t violate these Terms or any law.

04 Code snippets & intellectual property

Code you post remains yours. If you post code, you’re responsible for ensuring you have the right to share it and for including any required license or attribution. Unless you specify a license, other users may view your public code but receive no license to reuse it beyond what applicable law allows. Don’t post code that infringes others’ intellectual property, contains malware, or violates any third party’s license terms.

05 Acceptable use

You agree not to use Devit to:

• Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or that incites violence.
• Share sexually explicit material involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other prohibited content.
• Infringe intellectual property, publish others’ private information, or impersonate any person or entity.
• Distribute malware, exploits, or code designed to harm systems or users, or attempt to breach security.
• Spam, mass-scrape, or use bots/automation to abuse the Service or evade rate limits.
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Circumvent moderation, bans, or access controls.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion.

06 Communities & moderation

Devit includes communities/spaces that may be created and moderated by users. Community moderators may set additional rules and remove content or members within their space, provided they act consistently with these Terms. Devit may also moderate content platform-wide. Moderation decisions may be made using automated tools and human review. We are not obligated to host any particular content and may remove it without notice where reasonably necessary.

07 Copyright & DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content on Devit infringes your copyright, send a notice to nixai.cy@gmail.com including: (a) your contact information; (b) identification of the copyrighted work; (c) the URL or location of the allegedly infringing material; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and (f) your signature. We may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.

08 Third-party services

Devit relies on and links to third-party services (including GitHub, Supabase, and Vercel) and may display content or previews from external sites. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms. Optional integrations, such as GitHub webhooks, are provided “as is” and depend on those third parties.

09 Termination

You may stop using Devit and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content license for already-shared content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Devit and NixAi from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own negligence or willful misconduct. We will promptly notify you of any claim we seek indemnification for, and you may control its defense — provided that any settlement affecting Devit or NixAi requires our prior written consent.

13 Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at nixai.cy@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Florida will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer-protection rights, or access to the courts or remedies of your country of residence, that cannot be waived by agreement — if you are a consumer in the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction with such protections, you keep them.

14 Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of Devit after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
